COSMODATA Ltd was founded in 1991 and has since consistently held one of the leading positions in sales and services in the technology sector (computers, peripherals, consumables, etc.).

COSMODATA Ltd is the cornerstone of a group of companies with complementary and interconnected activities and services in the field of computers and consumables. The company's philosophy is to provide the best possible service, with the ultimate goal of customer satisfaction. With a passion for what it does, the business and its workforce seek, every day, ways to optimise and manage the growing demands of the market.

At the core of the company's activities are, on the one hand, the development of retail and wholesale sales of technology equipment (new and refurbished) and, on the other, the service, support and training of corporate customers in the public and private sectors.

To achieve its purpose, the company operates a network of six (6) company-owned stores in Attica, as well as an extended service network throughout Greece. In addition, as part of its customer-centric philosophy, it operates a fully staffed and trained telephone customer service department which, combined with the 24-hour online store, allows consumers to choose the way that suits them best to make their purchases.

The company covers the entire Greek territory in technology products, while since 2016 it has been developing export activity, leveraging the corporate relationships it has built over 27 years with multinational manufacturers in the sector.

Through Cosmodata Services, the company offers businesses comprehensive IT solutions: Managed IT Services, cybersecurity, cloud, network infrastructure and printing solutions.

Headquarters

The Company has been headquartered at 27 Stournari St. since its inception and is registered with the General Commercial Registry (G.E.MI.) (No. 755501000) and in the Registries of the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) (No. 104242).

This strategy has guided the COSMODATA group of companies over time and stems from the broader philosophy of looking ahead and overcoming obstacles. “When the first “COSMODATA” store opened on Stournari Street in 1991, alongside excellent customer service, the goals set were, on the one hand, the continuous improvement of the quality of the services offered and, on the other, the development of Corporate Social Responsibility policies (for environmental protection, staff safety, etc.).

Today, the COSMODATA group of companies applies a standard for the quality of its operations (ISO 9001/2015), implements environmental protection policies (ISO 14001/2015) and applies information security systems (ISO 27001:2013). At the same time, with a sense of responsibility towards society, we apply an Occupational Health and Safety Management System (ELOT 1801:2008), as well as principles of protection against the spread of the pandemic, aiming to obtain the relevant certification in the near future.

The group is strengthening its social profile by implementing a support plan for vulnerable social groups, which was launched as a pilot in 2019, was adapted to the conditions emerging in 2021 and will continue over the next three years, until 2023.”

The COSMODATA group of companies was founded in 1991 with the opening of its first IT store (27 Stournari St.). The main goal at that time was to attract a diverse range of consumers with needs for cutting-edge technologies.

The first period of operation established the company among corporate and home PC users, leading seven years later (1998) to the opening of the second store (25 Stournari St.). It was then that the concept of selling products to retail customers at “pallet” prices was introduced to the Greek market. In the same year, COSMODATA 2 was founded to provide services and meet IT needs. This was essentially the beginning of a group which, within a short period of time, was able to cover all of the modern Technology and IT needs of the consumer public.

The stores in Glyfada (December 1999), Peristeri (January 2009), Metamorfosi (February 2017), Piraeus (May 2020) and Kolonos (June 2021) are a natural evolution of the original, successful idea. This evolution is expected to continue over the five-year period 2021-2026 with the opening of the first stores outside Attica, with the same customer-centric philosophy and the continuous development and improvement of the services and products offered.

At the same time, a specialised B2B department is responsible for serving and satisfying corporate customers, while a modern call centre coordinates the company's day-to-day operations. A Public Sector department was also set up to meet the rising demand in IT, staffed by people with in-depth knowledge of public tenders and public administration, handling a large volume of requests from central and non-central government bodies. In addition, COSMODATA has been authorised as an official HP Authorized Service Center, offering nationwide coverage with 6 service points in its physical stores. Finally, the up-to-date online store is the 24-hour gateway for purchasing IT products and services.

Over the 20-year course of COSMODATA, the companies Greentech and Paleta Deals joined the group, broadening its activities. More specifically, Greentech marked the start of technology product imports and of direct agreements with international manufacturers. Paleta Deals was created to complete the group's offering of technology products, providing white goods and other small appliances.

In 2009, recognising the economic changes in Greece, management decided to invest in refurbished equipment, maintaining high quality while improving value for money. This was an innovative business move that arose both as a commercial need and as an environmental requirement, strengthening the company's ecological profile.

Today, the group employs 155 people and works with many businesses in the IT and services sector. It maintains close cooperation with the largest manufacturers and suppliers of equipment and consumables and serves customers in all industries, from the family business to the largest multinational company, across all sectors of the economy (manufacturing, services, trade, tourism, shipping).

In 2016, COSMODATA innovated once again as the first Greek company to export technology equipment to EU countries. Export trade is the company's next major goal for the five-year period 2021-2026.

A key goal for the near future is to open the first company-owned COSMODATA stores outside Attica (Thessaloniki, Heraklion) and to increase exports, which began in 2016.

The group adapts its strategy to every new challenge that arises, including the pandemic, without altering its medium-term planning, since with every opportunity and in every crisis #WE HAVE THE SOLUTION.
